The worsening security crisis has forced President Muhammadu Buhari to appeal to the United States of America and others for assistance in tackling the security crisis ravaging the country.
Buhari had passed his message to the US for help on the occasion of a virtual meeting with the US Secretary of State, Mr. Antony Blinken Tuesday.

The President also called on the international community to do everything to support Nigeria in the effort to address the security challenges.

“Compounded as the situation remains, Nigeria and her security forces remain resolutely committed to containing them and addressing their root causes. The support of important and strategic partners like the United States cannot be overstated as the consequences of insecurity will affect all nations hence the imperative for concerted cooperation and collaboration of all nations to overcome these challenges.”
