We Have Surpassed Our Revenue Target and Still Counting, Says Tin Can Customs Command Controller
Compt. Frank Onyeka

The Area Controller of the Tin Can Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Comptroller Frank Onyeka, on Tuesday announced a revenue generation of N1.56trillon between January and December 23, 2025.
The figure, according to Onyeka, is ₦51.8bn more than the target it was given for the year.
He said that what is exciting is that the Command is still counting on more revenue to be collected for the remaining eight days of the year 2025.
Briefing newsmen on the year’s activities in Lagos, he said the feat was made possible as a result of massive support from stakeholders in terms of compliance to trade regulations.
Onyeka also said that the B’Odogwu trade modernization system played a part in the successes recorded by the Command in revenue generation.
He pointed out imports in the areas of general merchandise, bulk cargo and used vehicles as playing major roles in the high revenue generation.
The Controller said he won the heart of the stakeholders with the policy on checking multiple alerts, adding that this attracted importers to the Command and in turn led to more revenue.
Oneyka equally said the support he received from the Comptroller General of the Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi PhD, played up significantly in the robust revenue yield in the Command.
He commended officers and men of the Service for the support and hardwork that led to impressive revenue generation.
On anti-smuggling operations, he said the Command recorded a number of seizures of prohibited and improperly declared goods.
