US Federal Agents Seize Jet Belonging to Nigerian over Fraud Allegation
An unidentified Nigerian fraudster has had his jet seized by the United States federal agents over fraud and drug related case.
The jet was seized at Peachtree DeKalb Airport, Georgia, United States, according to news reports.
The Correspondent of WSB-TV, Aaron Diamant , reported that the plane was seized in relation to an allegation of international fraud scheme.
Diamant had shared video of the seizure from Twitter handle, saying,“We’re alongside Federal agents as they seize a jet at @PDKAirport.”
The US agents are said to be investigating the plane for evidence with a K-9 team for drugs and other contraband.
The Special Agent Thor Whitmore of the Department of Homeland Security was quoted saying, “For the most part, people don’t even understand. They don’t know what’s happening in Atlanta, Georgia. We’re looking at it as kind of a turn back to the 1980s.”
Investigators said the plane belongs to a Nigerian national charged in a multimillion-dollar international fraud scheme…
