The Tin Can Island Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has recorded a revenue generation of N159bn in the month of August.
This was disclosed by the Controller, Compt. Frank Onyeka during the decoration of newly promoted officers of the Command with their new ranks.
Onyeka said the revenue milestone was made possible as a result of the deployment of the B’Odogwu system as well as other trade modernization initiatives.

He said that the B’Odogwu technology has been doing well and has come to stay.

He called on the newly promoted officers of the Command to continue to work hard for the sake of integrity, saying that promotion is a reward for hardwork.
He told the officers to keep the flag flying, adding that the Command is deeply committed to efficient trade facilitation, national revenue growth and support for stakeholders in the ports.
Among those promoted in the Command include the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Oscar Ivara, who now wears the rank of Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC).
