Freight Forwarders Mourn Passage of ANLCA Ex-Publicity Secretary

Freight forwarders have been thrown into mourning following the passage of the former Publicity Secretary of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents(ANLCA), Dr. Obicee Okonkwo.
Okonkwo who is also the National Publicity Secretary of Association of Igbo Maritime Practitioners in Nigeria (ASIMPIN) was said to have died on Saturday.
In a statement, the Secretary of Board of Trustees of (BoT) of ASIMPIN, Dr. Eugene Nweke, described the passage of Okonkwo as a big loss to the maritime industry.
Nweke wrote, “The ASIMPIN Board of Trustees is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Obicee Okonkwo, National Publicity Secretary of ASIMPIN. His dedication, expertise, and passion for the maritime industry will be greatly missed. Indeed, his legacies lives on.
“May Dr. Okonkwo’s soul rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

“The Board of Trustees must admit that, the maritime community has lost a rare gem, but his contributions and legacy will continue to inspire and motivate us. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

“Dr Obicee Okonkwo, Jee Nke Oma”.

Okonkwo is a known customs agent and orator per excellence who is loved so much by freight forwarders..
