Boat Mishap Kills 3 in Lagos, 17 Rescued

A boat mishap which occurred in Lagos has claimed the lives of three passengers.
17 passengers were however lucky as they were rescued during the incident which occurred in Badagry waterways.
The incident had occurred at Imoba near Ajido on Badagry after the boat took off at Liverpool in Apapa.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria report, the boat was said to have stopped suddenly before capsizing with all passengers thrown into the water.
The source had told NAN that it was the Marine Police on waterways patrol which came to rescue the passengers.
The story was confirmed by the Medical Director of Badagry General Hospital, Dr Tunde Bakare who said one of the corpses was deposited at the hospital.
