Onne Port: Pirates Attack Boat with 18 Passengers, Abduct Five
A passenger boat travelling on the Onne-Bonny waterways in Rivers state were Wednesday attacked with five of the passengers abducted.
It was gathered that 18 passengers were travelling in the boat when the robbers struck and succeeded in taking away five of them.
The sea pirates were said to have attacked when the boat was on transit.
As at the time of filing this report, it was not known if the robbers had reached out to the family of the victims to demand ransom.
Operatives of the marine police in Rivers state are said to be combing the sea routes in Onne to locate the pirates.
