SON Hits 10 Fake Products Manufacturers

No fewer than 10 fake products manufacturers have been arrested in the past nine months by the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON).
The fake manufacturers were arrested in Lagos, Kano and Ibadan, according to SON’s Director-General, Farouk Salim.
Salim told newsmen in Abuja that the suspects would soon face prosecution for their crimes.
The DG also disclosed that the agency has during the same period seized tyres and other products that were found to be substandard.
The seized products, according to him were worth hundreds of millions of naira.
