Abducted Members of Maritime Workers’ Union Freed

Members of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) who were abducted last week by gunmen have been freed.
Indications were that the eight members who were travelling to Port Harcourt from Kula in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area were left off the hook on Saturday.
The President-General of MWUN, Comrade Adewale Adeyanju had in a statement on Sunday thanked Nigerians for standing with the union during the period of pain.
However, it was not known if any ransome was paid to secure the release of the workers.
