CBN Governor Assures Manufacturers of Availability of Forex
The Central Bank Governor Mr. Godwin Emefiele, Thursday again assured members of the Manufactuers Association of Nigeria (MAN) of regular availability of foreign exchange for those who want to import raw materials.
Emefiele who noted that though the fall in oil prices has affected the flow of foreign exchange however said this will not affect manufacturers seeking forex to import raw materials.
Speaking during an interactive session with a business team from the United Kingdom, he explained that part of the efforts to conserve foreign exchange was in its restriction for judicious use.
The CBN Governor was represented on the occasion by the Deputy Governor, Economic Policy, Dr. Kingsley Obiora.
Similarly, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Niyi Adebayo, said significant growth recorded by companies in Nigeria would boost the economy of Nigeria.
Adebayo’s aide, Mr. Ifedayo Sayo, in a statement commended the CBN for the various reforms that have helped refloat businesses.
