89 Under NDLEA Net over Drug Peddling in Kaduna
No fewer than 89 suspects have been arrested by the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Kaduna over drug peddling.
The suspects were arrested between January and May according to the Kaduna state NDLEA Commander, Iyke-Uche Samuel who disclosed this during a press conference.
He said that the NDLEA operatives seized 1,721.508kg of drugs and other substances during the period, adding that 23 suspects were arrested over the crime.
Among the drugs seized were Indian hemp, Tramadol, Cocaine, Heroin, and Psychotropic substances.
Samuel said that so far the Command has been able to secure conviction for eight drug dealers at the at the Federal High Court, Kaduna.
