53 Die as Indonesian Navy Submarine Sinks
An Indonesian Navy submarine with all 53 crew on board sank weekend.
Reports from FleetMon online said there was no chance of survival taking into account wreck site depth, which is far exceeding submarine’s dive depth.
Photo was taken from the ROV of offshore tug SWIFT RESCUE (IMO 9536519), deployed in SAR operation, and shown during Military Command press-conference, on Apr 25.
The submarine disappeared early last week in area with 600-700 meters depths and crushed by enormous depth pressure far exceeding her max depth endurance of 240-250 meters, leaving no chance of crew survival, reports FleetMon online.
