CBN Appoints Pre-shipment Inspection Agents for Exports
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced the appointment of three pre-shipment inspection agents (PIAs) and two Monitoring and Evaluation Agents (MEAs), for Nigerian exports.
In a statement by the Director, Trade and Exchange Department, Dr Ozomena Nnaji, each of the agents would be assigned areas of coverage.
The PIAsand coverage areas include Anglia International Sevices Limited – North West and North Central; Neroli Technologies Limited – South West and South-South and Gojopal Nigeria Limited – South East and North East.
The MEAs and coverage areas also include Poops Integrated Services Limited – North East, North West, and North Central, and Ace Global Depository Nigeria Limited – South East, South West, and South-South.
According to Nnaji, the MEAs are expected to carry out such function as overseeing the PIAs in appointed zones.
The CBN Director called on all authorised dealers and operators in the non-oil sector to ensure complaince.
