SON Presents MANCAP Certificate to INNOSON Vehicles
Nigeria’s first indigenous vehicle manufacturing company, Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing, was Wednesday presented with Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP) certification by the Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON).
The Director General of SON, Dr. Osita Aboloma, presented the certificate to the Chairman/CEO of Innoson Vehicles, Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma OFR .
Aboloma said the presentation of the certificate confirms that the indigenous motor manufacturing company has done well in the area of quality assurance as shown after rigorous inspections in the last five years.
He said that the certificate was a clear demonstration of compliance
to relevant product standards and ability to meet consumer expectations.
According to him, “With the award of MANCAP’s certificate to Innoson brand of vehicles, we are demonstrating how standardization and conformance to standard offer strategic opportunities for increased efficiency, set bench marks and help promote Made-In-Nigeria products to the international market, as this award will boost Innoson’s brand across borders. We are in effect saying that Innoson brand is fit to be used in Nigeria and beyond”.
Chukwuma in his remark assured that his company will continue to comply with international best practices while producing his vehicles.
He said the vehicles can compare with any other imported vehicle in areas of durability, fuel economy and safety.
