Dantsoho, Adeniyi, Akutah, Mobereola to Deliver Papers at LOME AGM/Seminar Thursday

Dantsoho will be delivering a paper titled ‘Port Modernisation: Its Impact in the Maritime Industry’ at a seminar being organised by the League of Maritime Editors at BWC Hotel, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos
The NPA CEO is billed to give an insight on what the country will be gaining by carrying out the modernization of ports infrastructure adjudged to have been in a state of decay for years now.
Other CEOs in the Marine and Blue Economy Ministry, including the Director General of Nigerian Maritime and Safety Agency (NIMAS), Dr. Dayo Mobereola, Executive Secretary of Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Dr. Pius Akutah, will also deliver papers during the event.
The NIMASA DG. Mobereola, will deliver a paper titled ‘The Essentials of Port Security and Challenges’, while the Executive Secretary of NSC, Akutah will be speaking on ‘The Role of Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC) in Ensuring Cargo Distribution Across Nigeria Ports’
Similarly, the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service, Dr. Adewale Adeniyi, will also deliver a paper titled ‘The Imperative of Paperless Documentation Under NSW Regime’ .
In a press statement issued by the President of the Association, Mrs Remi Itie, the theme of the seminar is “Lagos/Eastern Ports: How to Reverse Existing Imbalance in Disproportionate Cargo Vessel Calls”.
To be chaired by the former General Manager, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Captain Iheanacho Ebubeogu, the Chief Executives of the agencies in the Marine and Blue Economy Ministry are expected to deliver lectures on their areas of corporate obligations.
President of League, Itie said the planned seminar is part of the efforts of the Association to contribute its own quota in maritime development.
She said that during the seminar, a communique that will be useful in national economic development shall be issued and made available to government.
