Tragedy: How NPA’s Official Photographer, ‘Texas’, Died in Lagos

It was a very sad moment for the management and members of staff of the Nigerian Ports Authority(NPA) following the death of a key officer of the organization who died in active service in Lagos.
He is the official Photographer of the organization, Paul Erakhifu, who is popularly known as ‘Texas’.
Texas died on a Public Holiday, Friday, May 1, while on official duty in Lagos.
Sources close to the NPA said he slumped and died after being part of an official meeting and excursion in Lagos.
Texas is described as very friendly in the organization and to maritime journalists who have known him for years.
His passage is seen as a very big loss not just to his family and NPA , but also to other industry stakeholders.
