NDLEA, Customs Operatives Seize 347.5kg of Canadian Loud Drugs

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Apapa Command, have seized 347.5 kilograms of Canadian Loud drugs which were hidden in a Toyota Sienna vehicle.
The drugs were concealed in 13 bags with each bag weighing 25kg each, another 29kg, two at 34.5kg and 34kg bringing the total to 347.5kg.
The seizure is coming few weeks after the Apapa Area Controller, Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba, warned importers against illicit imports coming through the seaport.
Oshoba had warned, “Any attempt by criminal elements to traffic prohibited items through Apapa Port will be detected and thwarted. We remain vigilant and resolute in the discharge of our duty to protect our society and national security.”
