Comptroller Ibrahim Visits Maje, Offers Prayers for Deceased, Urges Vigilance Among Officers
The Customs Area Controller, Kebbi Command, Comptroller Mahmoud Matawalle Ibrahim, has visited the scene of the attack where the Service lost Deputy Superintendent of Customs Sadiq Tahir Muhammad to the cold hands of death at the Maje axis in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

The visit, which took place on Wednesday was graced by the Commanding Officer, 1 Battalion Nigerian Army, Major Shola Elijah Moses, the Village Head (Wakilin Maje), representatives of sister agencies, officers stationed in the area, and members of the community.
In his address, Comptroller Matawalle commiserated with the officers and men of the command as well as members of the community over the tragic incident. He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
The Comptroller urged officers to synergize with sister security agencies and to continue maintaining cordial relationships with their host communities.
He further advised officers to remain vigilant, always be well-kitted, and respond decisively when attacked, while emphasizing the importance of creating platforms for seamless information sharing with other security agencies.
In his remarks, Major Moses, reminded officers that “we are our brothers’ keepers”, urging greater cooperation at both operational and tactical levels, including the sharing of timely intelligence.
The Village Head of Maje ably represented by Chief Imam of Maje, liman Yusuf, also offered prayers for the repose of the deceased, extended his condolences to the Nigeria Customs Service, and pledged the community’s continued cooperation in sharing relevant information with security agencies.
