NPA Board Members Commend Nigerdock and SIIFZ, Ports and Cargo for Strategic Partnerships, Operational Efficiency

Members of the Board of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) have undertaken a familiarization tour of parts of the Lagos ports.
The Board members led by the Chairman, Sen. Dayo Adeyeye, were at the Nigerdock, Snake Island Integrated Free Zone (SIIFZ) and Ports and Cargo Handling Services Limited at Tin Can Island Terminal C, Apapa, Lagos.
Chairman of Snake Island Integrated Free Zone (SIIFZ), Maher Jarmakani, told the Board members during the visit of the commitment of the organization in the area of ports infrastructure development.
Jarmakani pointed out the partnership efforts between the private sector and agencies of government in improving on maritime operations.
He was full of gratitude to the sustained support coming the NPA, adding that the port is developing world class infrastructure which will no doubt strengthen regional economic development and connect the rest of Africa with global trade.
According to him, the visit further showed the critical partnership that exists between the private organisations and the agencies of government.
He added, “We appreciate the Authority’s continued support for Snake Island Port, as we develop world-class infrastructure which strengthens economic growth in the region and further connects Africa with global trade.”
Sen. Dayo Adeyeye in his speech applauded the management of Nigerdock and SIIFZ in the areas of development efforts.
Adeyeye said, “We commend the management of Nigerdock and SIIFZ for their rigorous efforts in developing the terminals through strategic partnerships with global industry players and investment in key infrastructure. This development is crucial for economic advancement, and we are delighted to provide the required support.”
At Ports and Cargo Handling Services Limited Handling Services Limited at Tin Can Island Terminal C, members of the Board also met with the Managing Director, Mr. John Jenkins, and Captain Ibrahim Olugbade.
Members of the Board were full of commendation to the management of Ports and Cargo Handling Services Limited for being associated with operational efficiency.
