Tinubu Gives Marching Order on Implementation of National Single Window by Q1 2026

The National Single Window (NSW) project got a boost on Tuesday with the order by President Bola Tinubu that it must take off in the first quarter of 2026.
The directive was given to the to the National Single Window (NSW) Steering Committee, during its meeting at the State House, Abuja.
The National Single Window (NSW) is mainly a digital trade facilitation platform which streamlines trade processes.
In this case, all government agencies operating in the ports, including the customs are put in one platform.
This helps in achieving efficiency, transparency, and revenue collection.
It provides a centralized portal where documents are lodged for processes of trade.
Tinubu’s directive was delivered to the Committee by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, who represented him at the meeting.
The Chief of Staff to the President also explained that the Tax Reform Acts which was signed into law recently underlined the urgency of the need to accelerate reforms in the pursuit of the country’s target for $1 trillion economy.
He pointed out the need for financial and trade reforms in the quest for national economic transformation.
According to him, “It’s important that we continue to stay focused on this project. So that at the end of the day, we meet our timelines and achieve the results the President expects.
“As you all are aware, the project is one of the transformative initiatives of Mr. President which we collectively must ensure is effectively and commendably implemented”.
