* Customs boss to deliver paper on fight against arms smuggling

The 23rd Anniversary Lecture/Awards Conferment of Maritime Watch Newspaper will take place today at Lagos Airport Hotel, Lagos, Nigeria.

The theme of the lecture is Arms Smuggling and the Security Challenge in Nigeria: The Role of Nigeria Customs Service. The lecture will be delivered by the Comptroller-l General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, as the Guest Speaker.

The Chairman of the occasion is Mr. Salu Olakunle Ibraheem, Chairman/CEO, Brazo Nigeria Limited while the Special Guests of Honour are Dr. Dayo Mobereola, Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency; Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority; Alhaji Sulaiman Olaseinde, CEO, KAF Aluminium Ventures Limited, and Barrister (Chief) Adekunle Funmilayo, a legal luminary.

Some eminent Nigerians who have contributed to the growth of Maritime Watch Newspaper over the years and the nation at large will be given various categories of awards.

“This is 23 years of our publication and so many people have assisted and contributed in many ways to our growth. The awards conferment on these notable Nigerians is a recognition of their unique roles,” said Prince Shola Mekusi, Publisher/CEO, Maritime Watch.
