TICT Offers Waivers to Some Categories of Overtime Containers

The Tin Can Island Container Terminal has granted waivers to some categories of containers in its terminal.
In a notice issued to customs agents weekend, those to enjoy waivers are three categories of overtime containers to enable the owners effect delivery.
The waiver will last from Thursday 25th July 2024 through 30th Sept. 2024.
A member of the Association of Igbo Maritime Practitioners in Nigeria (ASIMNPIN) Chief Godfrey Emeka Nwosu who informed members of the association of the waiver advised them to take advantage of the opportunity and apply.
“The categories are:
(1) Container carrying cars.
(2) Container STC Personal effects and
(3) Container STC Household materials.
Any container STC other materials should be negotiated appropriately.
*The items MUST be manifested in the Bill of Lading to qualify for the waiver*
The waiver states as follows:
(1) 1×40 ft shall pay #3 million while
(2) 1×20 pays #1.5 million irrespective of the years it was domiciled in their terminal”.
