FG, States, LGs Share N1.1527tn in February, as Import Duty, Others Witness Increase

The Federal government, states and local government areas have shared the sum of N1,152.756 trillion for the month of February.
This was from the gross total revenue collection of N2,326.148 trillion for the month.
It would be recalled that the amount shared showed an increase from N1.149 trillion in the month of January from a total collection of N2. 068 trillion.
According to the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), the shared sum include Statutory Revenue – N101.349 billion, Value Added Tax (VAT) – N428.806 billion, Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) – N15.157 billion and Exchange Difference – N607.444 billion.
In the sharing, the federal government received N352.409 billion, states – N366.950bn while the local governments received N267.153 billion.
The oil producing states received their 13 per cent Derivation in the sum of N166.244 billion .
In a statement from the Director of Press, Ministry of Finance, Mohammed Manga, the amount collected for February in March was N460.487 billion, as against N420.733 Billion, showing an increase of N39.755 billion.
