Police, Freight Forwarders in Friendly Parley, as AIG Mohammed Ali Visits NAGAFF Headquarters
The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Ari Ali, on Tuesday paid a surprise visit to the Headquarters of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) in Apapa, Lagos.
The AIG met with the founder of NAGGAFF, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam.
Aniebonam while welcoming the AIG, commended him for the visit.
The visit, according to NAGAFF founder, was to discuss the way forward in the relationship between the Police and the freight forwarders in the South West.
He said, “It is fact and on record that the seaports of zone A western zone is under the control and supervision of Aig maritime with a seating commissioner of police.
“His visit shall definitely help to resolve the avoidable harassment, intimidation, extortion and unnecessary arrest of cargo and freight forwarding practitioners in the course of their statutory duty”.
