Passenger Dies on Board Lagos Bound Delta Air Lines Flight
A Nigerian passenger who flew from Atlanta, United States died few hours to landing at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, aboard Delta Air Lines.
Sources said the passenger whose identity is not known had a terminal disease and was only coming home to spend the rest of his life before he died.
His death caused some delays as the passengers had to wait for about two hours for his corpse to be removed before they could disembark.
It was gathered that the disease had a certificate given to him on his health situation and the airline knew about his condition and was only assisting him.
However, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) claimed it was not aware of the incident.
But its General Manager, Corporate Affairs of the agency, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, promised the agency would carry out investigation of the incident.
