Nwabunike: Folarin Believed Nigerian Economy Can Be Emancipated by Maritime Sector
The National President of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Iju Tony Nwabunike has reacted to the passage of late Otunba Kunle Folarin who died in Lagos recently, saying it was a big loss to the nation’s maritime industry.
Nwabunike in a chat with SHIPPING DAY said the late Otunba’s demise has left “ a void in our maritime industry where he has contributed immensely from his knowledge and experience”.
He described Otunba as a believer in the emancipation of the Nigerian economy through a robust maritime sector, adding that he left when he was most needed.
Nwabunike disclosed that the late Folarin impacted on him as an individual through his fatherly role in the early days by guiding his path towards professionalism.
He added, “ Otunba impacted on me as an individual through his fatherly role in my early days and guided my path towards professionalism
“Indeed, his demise has left a void in our maritime industry where he has contributed immensely from his knowledge and experience. His contributions were, no doubt, invaluable.
“He was a believer in the emancipation of the Nigerian economy through a robust maritime sector.Baba left us even when we needed him the more”.
The ANLCA President who has been out of the country for some months now condoled the widow, children and other immediately family as well as the entire Nigerian maritime community over the sad passage of late Otunba Folarin.
He said, “We will miss his wealth of experience and love
May his soul rest in peace”
