The Port and Terminal Multipurpose Limited (PTML) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced a revenue generation of N150bn, four months after the introduction of the of B’Odogwu revenue platform by the Service.
The revenue figure, according to the Controller of the Command, Compt. Tenny Mankini Daniyan, was collected between November 11, last year and March 4, 2025.
Daniyan made it clear that the B’Odogwu platform played a key role in the generation of the revenue after the Service exited the Web Fontaine NICIS platform.
He said the introduction of the new platform has been done with wisdom by the
Comptroller General of Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, describing it as a laudable initiative.
Noting that there was initial challenges during the pilot stage, the Controller said the platform has been having smooth sail with more revenue being generated.

The platform which has been introduced in Apapa for sensitisation, will also be introduced in other Commands.
Daniyan told newsmen, “Since the CG came in, he has been innovative, churning out projects for the welfare of the trading public, facilitating trade and ensuring that traders get more money
“Since he came in, he has introduced projects like Time Release Study, Advanced Ruling, and they are all for the benefits of the trading public
“B’Odogwu is one of his legacy projects. It is called Unified Customs Management System (UCMS) which is to replace the existing NICIS.
“By Section 28 of the Nigeria Customs Service Act, it empowers Customs to initiate a platform for revenue collection
“So, the CGC in his initiative started this B’Odogwu to replace NICIS. We thank God, on October 23rd, 2024, the CGC launched it here and since we started, the baby is growing very well now.

“We thank God that we took a bold decision and today, it is working for us and by that, we were able to get along and I am able to tell you that NICIS stopped since November 11, 2024
