The National Assembly Joint Committee on Finance on Wednesday gave a revenue target of N1.75trillion to the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) for the year 2025.

This was as the Managing Director, Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, disclosed that the authority generated the sum of N758. 26billion between January and November 2024.

Chairmen of the National Assembly Joint Committee on Finance, Senator Sani Musa and Hon. James Faleke, gave the target after the NPA boss had presented the agency’s revenue performance for last year.

Incidentally, Dantsoho had earlier projected a revenue target of N997billion for the agency this year.

But the Joint Committee while increasing the target explained that members were maximizing the agency’s 56 revenue streams.
