Labour Strike Hurts, as Nigeria Suffers Total Blackout Nationwide
*Tinubu offers N60,000 minimum wage for workers

The strike called by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) is having serious impact with the total blackout nationwide.
The industrial action which started on Monday involves the NLC and the Trade union Congress (TUC) with the shut down of the national grid which has become very impactful.
However, the NLC leaders and representative of the federal government met last night in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and reached an agreement to increase the National Minimum wage to N60,000.
Part of the meeting were the President, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero and the President, Trade Union Congress (TUC), Festus Osifo.
On the federal government side were Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha and Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammad Idris .
The meeting was told that President Bola Tinubu was ready to make a commitment of N60,000 minimum wage.
It was gathered that the labour leaders will later meet today to consider the offer from the President.
