Apapa Gets New Customs Controller, as Jaiyeoba Retires after 35 Years Service

The Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) now has a new Controller in the name of Dr. Babatunde Olomu following the retirement of Comptroller Babajide Jaiyeoba after 35 years service.
The handover ceremony which took place on Monday witnessed a number of industry stakeholders, including freight forwarders and maritime journalists.
During the event, Jaiyeoba handed over to the new Controller amidst commendations from industry stakeholders,
One of the high points of the outgone controller was his efforts in raising as much as N12bn revenue in a day.
The new controller, Olomu promised that he would do his best to meet his revenue target, adding that he intends to keep the tempo of the Comptroller General of the Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi .
