Tinubu Visits Lagos Today to Declare Open Customs Conference

President Ahmed Bola Tinubu is expected this morning in Lagos to declare open the ongoing conference being organised by the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).
The conference started in Lagos on Wednesday but the official opening ceremony is to hold today in Lagos.
The opening ceremony is billed for 10am at Lagos Intercontinental Hotel.
Known as Comptroller General’s Conference, the theme of the event is “Leveraging Data Analytics for Secure and Efficient Trade Facilitation in Customs Operations.”
Comptroller General of the Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, was quoted saying that the organization is “is embracing innovation, utilising the power of analytics to ensure the security and efficiency of Customs Operations”.

He added that this was in line with his efforts and those of the management team to “modernize the Nigeria Customs service through leveraging technology-driven Customs to shape the future of our operations”.
According to him, “this significant event will centre around discussion on implementing new measures to enhance the service operations, championing secure and efficient operations across the federation”.
