Fuel Crisis Worsens in Lagos, as Marketers Warn of Increase in Price
Fuel crisis is gradually worsening in Lagos metropolis with marketers warning motorists of possible rise in the prices of the product.
As at Thursday, filling stations were selling at between N220 and N230 per litre with long queues.
The rise in the prices of fuel also forced transporters to increase the cost of fares to different places out of Lagos.
As at Thursday, the National Controller of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria , Mike Osatuyi, said that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has refused to give his members fuel.
He said that those seeking to buy fuel should do so at any price, according to Punch Newspaper report.
He said the marketers were forced to buy at N205 per litre.
He added that with the N205 per litre, marketers will also have to add transport cost of aboutN13 to the cost, he further told Punch.
