Hassan Bello Visits, Condoles Widow of Late Otunba Folarin

During the visit to Otuba’s Festac home in Lagos, Bello who is now a Legal Maritime Consultant condoled the wife, Mrs Folarin, over the passage of the husband,
Bello had last week reacted to the demise of late Otunba describing his passage as a big loss to the nation because of his wealth of experience in the maritime industry.
Bello described Folarin as one who was “vast and analytical and incisive” in the nation’s maritime industry.
Bello said that as former Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Folarin assisted the council in its regulatory role especially on “tariff setting,
Intra and inter port competition as well as stakeholders engagement”.
Bello added, “He was lively in his discussions. He was vast and analytical and incisive. Sadly, he lacked the financial independence to make PCC make impact\”.
Folarin was the Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Consultative Council (NPCC) and Chairman of the National Seafarers Welfare Board (NSWB) until his passage.
