Internet Fraudster Forfeits N40m Worth of Bitcoins

An internet fraudster, has forfeited N40m worth of 1.982, 022, 84 units of Bitcoin on the order of a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.
The N40million is to be forfeited to the federal government in addition to iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 7 and all money found in his two bank accounts, the court ruled on Friday in respect of Alkali Tanimu, who is called yahoo boy.
Justice Oweibo ordered the final forfeiture after listening to the submission of the counsel to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, Sulaiman I. Sulaiman in a written address and affidavit.
Sulaiman said the items forfeited were all proceeds of illegal activity, adding that the court has powers to order for their forfeiture.
