Buhari Appoints 7 Ministers, Announces Sambo, Adegoroye as Replacement for Amaechi, Saraki
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday announced appointment of seven Ministers as replacement for those who resigned to contest the Presidential election
Among the seven ministers were two new ministers Engr. Mu’azu Sambo (Taraba) and Ademola Adegoroye (Ondo). who replaced the former Transport Minister, Hon Rotimi Amaechi and the Minister of State for Transport, Senator Gbemi Saraki.
Sambo replaces Amaechi while Adegoroye replaces Saraki who was moved to the Ministry of Mines and Power as Minister of State.
Other ministers were Goodluck Opiah (Imo), Umar El-Yakub (Kano), Henry Ikoh (Abia), Umana Okon Umana (Akwa Ibom),, Ekumankama Nkama (Ebonyi) and Odum Odi (Rivers).
The portfolios for the new ministers were announced as Ikechukwu Ikoh, Minister of State, Science and Technology; Umana Umana, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs; Udi Odum, Minister of State, Environment, Umar El-Yakub, Minister of State, Works, and Housing; Goodluck Opiah, Minister of State, Education and Nkama Ekumankama, Minister of State, Health.
The new Minister of Transport, Muazu was former Lagos Area Manager of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).
He is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where studied Building and came out with Second Class Upper Division.
