1 Dead, 5 Critical as Passenger Ship Explodes in Singapore
A Passenger ship DUMAI LINE 5 exploded in the early hours of Thursday in front of Batam Port, Riau islands, Indonesia, Singapore Strait.
The explosion was followed by major fire incident, according to FleetMon online report.
However, the report said there were no passengers on board as the ship was probably at anchor (last AIS dated Jun 7).
But one crew died in explosion following the explosion while another jumped overboard after explosion and went missing.
Four crew members were badly burned and in hospital in critical condition.
