Navy Rescues Abducted Boat Passengers in Rivers
Seven boat passengers who were abducted on May 10 in Rivers state have been rescued.
The victims were rescued by the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Pathfinder, according to the the Commander of NNS Pathfinder, Commodore Suleman Ibrahim.
Pirates had attacked the passengers who were on board from Port Harcourt to Bonny.
According to Ibrahim, the victims were rescued in kidnappers’ den somewhere in Bayelsa State on May 21.
Some of the victims, including Jude Ichipuru and Larry Omodiale said they were blindfolded for the 11 days they were kept under hostage.
