NDLEA Intercepts Cocaine, N1.1bn Travellers’ Checks at Lagos Airport
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Sunday said it has intercepted different types travellers’ cheques in foreign currencies valued at

The operatives of the agency according to its spokesman, Femi Babafemi, also seized 10. 89 kilogrammes of cocaine at the airport.
The travelers cheques and cocaine were all intercept at the at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja.
Babafemi said a suspect identified as Oguma Uchenna, was arrested with the cheques as he attempted to export them.
The cheques were concealed in bardcover books disguised as academic project literatures to the United Kingdom.
The cheques were intercepted during cargo examination for exports before flight to the UK.
On the cocaine seizure, he said, the cargo came trough a Qatar Airways flight concealed in seven children’s duvets in an unaccompanied bag from Brazil.
