Lagos Rail Line to Begin Operation Q1 2023 – Sanwo-Olu

The Lagos rail line project will begin operation in the first quarter of 2023, the state governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said.
Sanwo-Olu who disclosed this while inspecting the project on Sunday said the rail line will strengthen the intermodal transportation system in the state.
He said the state government was making frantic efforts to complete work on both the Blue and Red lines rail projects, which he said are intra-city.
He expressed satisfaction while at the Marina Station with the level of construction so far.
He also disclosed that more trains would be procured as part of rail system.
The governor warned against vandalising of the barricades around rail line , adding that the tracks were hazardous.
