Customs Agents Mourn as Former Customs CG, Hamman Kojoli, Dies at 73
• He was a resourceful and committed officer, says ANLCA President
A former Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Hamman Kojoli, has died at the age of 73.
The former CG died after a protracted illness, according to family sources.
Kojoli served under the administration of late President Umaru Yar’Adua.
Commenting on the sad incident, the President of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Iju Tony Nwabunike described his death as a big loss to the maritime industry.
Nwabunike described Kojoli as a resourceful and committed officer.
The ANLCA President in a statement said his “mastery of customs matters in areas of tariff and classification was second to none. I interacted closely with him in his service days and continued so while he was in retirement. May his soul rest in peace”.
