Enugu: 11 Paraded for Swindling Car Dealers with Fake Bank Alerts, Kidnapping
No fewer than 11 criminals who specialize in swindling car dealers with fake bank alerts have been arrested and parade in Enugu.
The suspects according to the Enugu Police Command were arrested for different offences, including murder, kidnapping, armed robbery and child trafficking.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr Abubakar Lawal, during the parade said they were arrested in the past one month.
Three of the suspects, Odoh Tochukwu, Ifenyinwa Okonkwo and Ogbodo Emmanuel were accused by the Police of specializing in cars from dealers with fake bank alerts.
The Commissioner said the suspects were picked up at different locations between December 7 and 13 by detectives.
According to the Commissioner six vehicles of different makes and other incriminating items were recovered from them.
Other suspects were arrested for conspiracy and kidnapping include Chioma Nwatu, aka Chioma-Gbashi; Chikwube Nwatu, aka Cheche; and Uwa Emeka, aka Akimbo.
They were arrested on December 22, 2021 by the CP Monitoring Unit.
