Election: Celebrations Spread in Anambra as Soludo’s Declaration as Winner Imminent
Members of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and supporters are currently celebrating the victory of their candidate, Prof Charles Soludo, in the Anambra governorship election ahead of the declaration of the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
So far, Soludo has won in 17 local government areas of the state out of 19 local governments whose results were declared.
The state has only 23 local government areas in which clearly shows that APGA is indeed cruising to victory waiting to be declared.
As at this afternoon, it was gathered that celebration has continued to spread in not just the home town of Soludo but many parts of the state.
Party members and supporters believe that with the result declared so far, victory is sure for the APGA candidate.
This was as the Returning Officer of the Anambra State governorship election, Professor Florence Obi, said a supplementary election will hold in 362 polling units in Ihiala Local Government Area on Tuesday, November 9.
Soludo is leading other candidates with 103, 946 votes.
Observers believe that the victory speaks so much good for Ndigbo, one of the reasons that the celebrations have continued to spread not just in Anambra but also in other parts of the South East.
