NAFDAC to Begin Manufacturing of COVID-19 Vaccines Next Year

The Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, has said that the agency would begin local manufacturing of COVID-19 vaccines in 2022.
Adeyeye made the promise during an interview with ARISE News Channel’s ‘The Morning Show.’
According to her, NAFDAC has already started clinical trials on three local herbal medicinal products for the treatment of COVID virus.
She disclosed that the federal government was concerned about the challenges of supply of the vaccines, adding that local manufacturing of the vaccine was the way out.
