Sanwo-Olu Moves to Keep Lagos Clean, Launches 102 Refuse Trucks

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu (left), and Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Bashir Jamoh, during the unveiling of 102 new waste collection trucks and 100 Double Dino bins acquired by the state government for the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) at Lagos House, State Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, on Wednesday.

In a bid to keep Lagos clean, the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has launched 102 new locally-assembled compactor trucks and 100 units of double dino waste bins. for refuse clearing purposes.

Sanwo-Olu said at the event that it was aimed at improving on waste evacuation and to keep Lagos cleaner.
The trucks were assembled by LAWMA technicians in collaboration with Dangote Sinotruk Manufacturing firm.
The trucks were designed to fit into local environment and have three years warranty.
The event was witnessed by stakeholders in Lagos.
