Elkins Offers Free Training to Best Graduating Maritime Students, Others

The Management of Elkins Marine Training International (EMTI), the foremost maritime training centre in Nigeria has offered Five Million Naira worth of free professional training to the would-be recipients of Best Graduating Maritime Students Awards in the forth-coming Annual Maritime Students and Youth Conference also known as A Day With Nigeria Maritime Students.

In a recent email correspondence sent to Platforms Communications, organisers of the AMSAY Conference, the management of EMTI also revealed that the offer is also open to all interested female and young up-coming students who want to apply for the scholarship.

According to them, while winners of Best Graduating Maritime Students Awards would get automatic slots for the scholarship offer, other interested candidates would be selected based on application and profile. Adding that the courses to be offered, would be some selected professional courses that would help the beneficiaries in their field of study to enhance their career growth and development.

Recall that at the 2019 AMSAY Conference, EMTI also gave the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira (#100,000) cash prize plus free training to Miss Jane Ogwo who emerged the Overall Best Graduating Maritime Students of 2018 Academic Session.
Elkins also reiterated its readiness to give out the same cash prize to whoever would emerg the Overall Best Graduating Maritime Students this year.

Responding to the kind gesture, Mr Sylvanus Obasi, Converner of AMSAY Conference described EMTI as a socially responsible maritime training institute which shares the vision of Platforms Communications in stimulating healthy academic competition amongst Nigerian maritme students.

Obasi also called on other good spirited maritime stakeholders, govt agencies and individuals to do the same in other to imbibe the culture of academic excellence amongst Nigerian maritime students.

Recall that the 2021 edition of the AMSAY Conference is scheduled to hold in Lagos on Thursday, May 27, 2021.
