ANLCA Moves Against Customs Officer for Shooting Member
The Asociation of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Thursday expressed anger over the incident that led to the shooting of one of its memebrs at Mile 2 Lagos by an officer of the Nigeria Customs Service.
The ANLCA member, Ademola Quadri, who is the victim, was shot at Mile 2 on Wednesday in an attempt by the Customs to seize a 2019 model Toyota RAV4 that had earlier been cleared at PTML terminal at Mile 2 with all duties paid.
Sources said the customs agent on being flagged down wanted to park before he was shot by the customs officer who thought he wanted to run away.
Sources close to ANLCA said the association wants the customs officer involved in the shooting of the agent should be produced over the incident.
Meanwhile, the Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Ikeja, said investigation on the matter is still ongoing.
