NDLEA Arrests Two Fake Soldiers with 234kg Drugs
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested two fake soldierss with 234kg of drugs at Okene-Lokoja Expressway.
The drugs were wrapped up in parcels to evade detection.
The Commander, Kogi State Command of the NDLEA, Adewunmi Alfred, who identified the suspects as Mohammed Nura and Abubakar Dahiru, said they were arrested on Monday with cannabis sativa.
Dahiru told newsmen that the suspects were heading to Kano from Lagos State and had concealed the drugs in different parts of a Toyota Hilux van.
He said the suspects had identified themselves as soldiers, adding that this may have stopped other security agencies from carrying out a thorough search on their vehicle.
Insisting that the suspects were fake until proven otherwise, Dahiru said they have been kept in custody while investigation goes on.
