Enugu: FRSC Confirms Death of 21 School Children in Accident
An accident that occurred on Wednesday has claimed the lives of 21 school children in Mgbowo, Awgu, Enugu state.
The incident which has been confirmed by the Enugu State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) occurred on Wednesday evening.
FRSC Sector Commander, Mr. Ogbonna Kalu, told newsmen that the accident involved the school bus used by the children and a faulty trailer.
The trailer was said to have lost control in a sloppy junction before ramming into the bus.
The school children are students of Presentation Nursery and Primary School, Awgu, run by the Catholic Diocese.
The accident affected artisans who were working on the road side.
The bus was carrying 51 school children in the bus, driver and two teachers.
