Boat Mishap Claims Two Lives in Ikorodu
A boat mishap in Ikorodu area of Lagos has claimed two lives.
The sad incident occurred around Offin/Ibeshe in Ikorodu with seven passengers on board.
Among the passengers were five adults and two children who were said to be attending a funeral ceremony.
The boat which took off at Makoko area for Ofin in Ikorodu was said to have capsized as a result of violent current.
Our source revealed that none of the passengers on board was putting on live jackets as safety measure.
It was gathered that officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA, and Marine Police have been deployed to the area to search for the missing victims .
