The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Wednesday donated some computers and office equipment to the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) in Abuja.
Managing Director of the NPA, Hadiza Bala Usman explained that the donation was part of the organization’s social responsibility.
Usman who was represented by the Edward Dauda Kabir, General Manager, Monitoring and Compliance of NPA, Abuja Liaison Office, said the donation will assist the Diaspora Commission in its working capacity.
Chairperson of the Commission , Abike Dabiri-Erewa who received the equipment said it was thoughtful of Ms Usman to make the donation at such a critical time.
She said, “I have to thank my dear Sister, Hadiza Bala Usman for her thoughtfulness and kindness towards a sister MDA in need. I am short of words. You have really made my day.
“This is very good news in the midst of a depressing week. I want to say a big thank you for your hands of fellowship. This goes to show that women do help themselves.”
It would he recalled that the Commission boss had raised alarm after being thrown out of the office space earlier donated by the Nigerian Communication Commission by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami.
